Carla Mishibinijima

Ahnii, I'm Carla,

Eagle Clan, Maiangowi Settlement, Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory on Manitoulin Island, Ontario Canada.

I am passionate about youth programs, youth camps, and providing certified training to youth workers and camp counselors to create excellent youth experiences. I have been involved with youth programs and camps for over 12 years.

I had the privilege of working at Western University’s youth summer camps for 8+ years as Camp Coordinator, and then as Director for multiple successful co-ed residential wilderness summer camps on Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory.

I also had the joy of working at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu, Hawaii as the Recreation Coordinator where I was responsible for delivering outstanding guest services.

I am a self-starter who successfully developed, coordinated and implemented an extensive multi-week residential wilderness summer camp for over 250+ Indigenous youth and oversaw 50+ staff and volunteers from across Ontario each summer and over 3 years in Hawaii.

I base my programs with the intention of safety, self-responsibility, good judgment and sound decision-making skills.

Kindest Regards.
