Aanii!

Since 2003, I’ve been leading camps and building programs. My journey has taken me from my home community of Wiikwemkoong to Southern Ontario and all the way to Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. Along the way, I’ve led camps, developed recreation programs and worked in tourism experiences, working alongside people from many different communities and learning from the places and people around me.

Leading and developing programs has shaped how I see leadership and community development. I’ve learned first-hand that strong programs don’t happen by accident. They’re built by people who care, who are willing to learn, and who have the knowledge, tools and support to turn good intentions into meaningful outcomes.

That’s what inspired me to build the 3-Fires Leadership & Safety Institute, with my family’s support and encouragement. I want to help people recognize the potential in themselves, build on the strengths within their communities, and feel better equipped to lead, make decisions, manage risk and create experiences that matter.

For me, this work is about more than training. It’s about sharing knowledge, learning from one another, and helping communities build something stronger for the people who come next.

I look forward to meeting you, hearing your stories and learning alongside you at a 3-Fires experience!
