Sometimes the most important leadership work happens when we step away from the day-to-day, create space to think, and experience our work from a different perspective.
The Leadership Immersion brings the 3-Fires framework into an immersive professional learning environment where leadership, culture, history, territory and relationship become part of the learning.
This is not simply time away from the office. It is intentional space to widen your perspective and consider the bigger questions behind your leadership:
Where are we going?
What does my team need from me now?
What needs to change?
What am I not seeing?
What relationships need greater attention?
What do I need to strengthen, rethink or let go of?
What kind of leader is the work asking me to become?
The goal is to return to the work with greater clarity, intention and direction.
Leadership shaped by land, community and perspective.
Hawaiʻi is part of the learning.
The setting is not separate from the training. Hawaiʻi becomes part of the experience—its land, ocean, culture, history, community and perspectives creating opportunities to see leadership, relationships, responsibility and purpose differently.
Leadership can be encountered through place, language, history, ocean traditions, surfing, food, hospitality, voyaging and cultural practice.
Participants are invited to consider how Indigenous knowledge, language, history and identity can shape how leadership is understood, experienced and expressed.
Rather than simply learning about culture, the experience creates space to reflect on what happens when Indigenous knowledge and identity are visible, valued and woven into everyday life.

What could our own communities look like if our Indigenous stories, languages, leaders, knowledge, places and traditions were more visible in everyday life?
The question extends beyond Hawaiʻi. It brings the learning home.
You don't need another course telling you how to manage your day.
You may need space to ask whether you're leading the right things, in the right way, for the people and community you serve.
Leadership at a different level.
The Leadership Immersion is designed for experienced and established leaders ready to move beyond the immediate demands of their role and examine their leadership from a broader perspective.
Especially relevant for:
- Directors and senior managers
- Experienced program and department leaders
- Leadership teams seeking alignment, perspective and clarity
- Professionals navigating growth or organizational change
- Leaders responsible for people, programs and strategic priorities
- Established and visionary leaders ready to deepen their practice
Together, these perspectives help you step outside the immediate issue and examine the bigger picture of leadership.
Bring your experience.
Bring a real leadership challenge, organizational priority, program, initiative or question with you.
Then create space to see it differently.
The 3-Fires framework provides five practical perspectives:
LEAD — How am I showing up as a leader?
PROTECT — Who and what am I responsible for protecting?
UNDERSTAND — What perspectives, relationships and knowledge am I missing?
BUILD — What needs to be strengthened?
CREATE — What do I want to make possible?

More than a change of scenery.
A different place can create a different way of seeing.
The Leadership Immersion intentionally creates distance from the usual pace of meetings, emails, schedules and operational demands.
Because leadership development is not always about adding more information.
Sometimes it is about creating enough space to rediscover what you already know, recognize what you have been missing, and see what needs your attention next.
Step away from the work.
Make space to work on your leadership.
Come prepared to reflect. Come ready to question. Come willing to see your work, your community and your leadership from a different perspective.
